How the math works
Coffee:water ratio is by weight (1 ml water ≈ 1 g). Coffee weight = water ÷ ratio. The SCA "golden ratio" is 1:18 for filter; espresso is much stronger at 1:2. Strength slider adjusts ratio ±15% — lower ratio means stronger / more coffee per cup.
Always weigh, never scoop. A 2g change in dose per cup is the difference between bitter and weak.
