How the math works
Simple: ABV% = (OG − FG) × 131.25.
Advanced (Daniels): ABV% = (76.08 × (OG − FG) / (1.775 − OG)) × (FG / 0.794).
Brix → SG: SG = 1 + (Brix / (258.6 − (Brix/258.2)×227.1)).
Refractometer FG correction (Sean Terrill): FG = 1.0000 − 0.0044993×OGb + 0.011774×FGb + 0.00027581×OGb² − 0.0012717×FGb² − 0.00000728×OGb³ + 0.000063293×FGb³ — apply wort correction factor (default 1.04) to your Brix readings first.
Attenuation: (OG − FG) / (OG − 1). Calories per 12 oz: 1.5 × ABV + 0.4 × (residual gravity points) × 3.
