How the math works
1 beat = 60 / BPM seconds (where 1 beat = a quarter note in x/4, an eighth note in x/8). 1 bar = numerator beats. Samples = seconds × sample rate.
For 6/8, 9/8 and 12/8 a "beat" here means an eighth note. Convert to dotted-quarter pulses by grouping in 3s.
