How the math works

Bitrate is chosen from each platform's published ranges, scaled by resolution × FPS × content complexity. Twitch partner / Enhanced Broadcasting allows up to 8000 kbps at 1080p60; non-partner caps practically around 6000. YouTube and Kick allow significantly higher.

The 1.5× upload rule: keep video bitrate at most 60% of your real upstream so packet retransmits and other traffic don't drop frames.
